B-SIDEZ
B-SIDEZ
B-SIDEZ
On Air: Thursdays 1-2pm
Hosted by: Stella Sofia
B-SIDEZ is a deep dive into the deep cuts and archival gems across funk fusion, bringing the grooves of Black, Caribbean, and Latin funk-fusion straight to your ears. We’re talking everything from old-school P-funk and jazz-fusion to Latin-fusion and modern electro-funk, all while using the space to share some history of the genres, new artists emerging within it, and events in the city to catch a groove and dance to some classic funk.
About Your Host
Hey! My name is Stella Sofia and I'm a Puerto-Rican born artist who's grown up in a world completely revolving around music. I'm a Jazz and Contemporary Music major at CoPA with a concentration in Voice, but I also play guitar and bass. Growing up encouraged to explore the many worlds within music by artistic parents, I've known to love music within any and all genres, but my heart lies in funk, r&b, jazz, soul, and blues.
