Mind the Gap
On air: Mondays from 4 to 6 pm
Hosted by: Joe Glynn and Chris Gentile
Mind The Gap traces the origins of alternative rock into the present day, by showcasing pioneers of the sound, along with emerging groups that drive the future of the genre. Merging history with sound, Mind The Gap considers the ways in which alternative rock is approached, composed, performed, and perceived throughout the decades. From innovators of the sound, like Brian Eno and My Bloody Valentine, to contemporary artists in the underground like April Magazine and Dwaal Troupe.
About Your Hosts
Joe Glynn was born into an alternative rock family. From birth, he has been exposed to the myriad of influences intersecting the 90s rock advent and beyond. Feeding into his affinity for all things analog, he is pursuing a degree in illustration, though sharing and discovering music remains his passion.
Chris Gentile is a third year BA/BFA student studying Illustration and Creative Non-Fiction. They enjoy the simple pleasures of life; listening to Elliott Smith while reading, listening to Elliott Smith while running… but Mondays 4-6 they’re bringing you the angry girl music of the indie rock persuasion.
