La Vie en Rouge
La Vie en Rouge
Wanderlust
On air: Tuesdays from 4 to 6 pm
Hosted by: Eliane Baijal
Wanderlust is a place to explore alternative rock/pop music scenes from all around the world – each show features songs and artists from a different country or cultural region. When not playing music, the show discusses how a country’s alternative music scene compares to its mainstream one, in addition to America's alternative music today. Wanderlust also looks into how alternative artists are infusing their music with traditional genres, instruments, and beats native to their countries.
About Your Host
Hi I’m Eliane! I’m a fourth year student at Lang, studying Contemporary Music and Journalism + Design. I’m 21 and originally from CT, but call DC my home now. I’m interested in anything related to music, especially its connection to culture, activism, and business. My favorite genre is classic rock, but I like mostly everything. I also love to sing! After college, I would like to write about the various global music scenes and explore how these might connect to social movements.
